Radojunkie Westfield Takeover! 26th October 2025

As we close the chapter on 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible year for Radojunkie and the community we serve.

This year has been about more than training. It has been about connection, consistency, confidence and creating spaces where people feel they belong. From our youngest Grasshoppers to adults stepping onto the mats for the first time, the journey we’ve shared together has been something special.

2025 At a Glance

2025 has been our biggest year to date.

  • 800+ sessions delivered across academy classes, after-school clubs, school programmes and community workshops

  • 522 people reached through our programmes

    • 382 children and young people

    • 140 adults

  • Regular weekly classes across multiple age groups and abilities

  • Programmes delivered in community spaces, schools and external partnerships

This growth hasn’t happened by chance. It has been made possible through trust from families, commitment from our coaches and strong partnerships across East London.

Community Milestones That Matter

This year was filled with moments that reminded us why we do what we do.

Turning 3 Years Old

Radojunkie officially turned three years old in 2025. What started as a small community session has grown into a thriving programme supporting hundreds of people through martial arts and personal development.

First In-School Programme with Mulberry UTC

We delivered our first-ever in-school Muay Thai programme with Mulberry UTC. What began as a 5-week pilot was extended into a 10-week delivery from September to December, laying the foundation for long-term work within education settings.

Young People Stepping into Competition

In 2025, 9 of our young warriors competed in their first interclub. For many, this was their first time testing themselves in a controlled, supportive environment. The growth in confidence, discipline and mindset was powerful to witness.

Competitors Pathway Launched

We introduced a competitors class in March, creating a structured pathway for young people interested in developing their skills more seriously while maintaining safety, respect and balance.

Expanding What We Offer

As the community grew, so did our programmes.

  • Pilates classes launched in September, supporting adult wellbeing, recovery and long-term movement health

  • Women Only sessions continued to grow, creating safe and empowering spaces for women to train

  • Men’s Only sessions strengthened, offering structure, accountability and community

  • Practical self-defence workshop delivered with West Ham in November

  • Westfield Takeover for Black History Month, reaching new audiences and celebrating culture, movement and community

Each addition has been shaped by listening to what the community needs, not just what we want to offer.

Consistency and Commitment

Some of the most inspiring moments this year came from simple consistency.

Our most attended sessions by individual members included:

  • Grasshoppers: Dloovan (56 sessions)

  • Crane: Rio and Roman (66 sessions)

  • Men’s Only: James (63 sessions)

  • Women’s Only: Rahatel (62 sessions)

These numbers represent commitment, routine and personal growth. They show what happens when people are given a space they feel safe returning to week after week.

Partnerships That Power Our Work

We are proud to work alongside local schools, community organisations and partners who share our values. These collaborations have allowed us to expand our reach, deliver meaningful programmes and support people who might not otherwise access martial arts.

This year also included some unforgettable moments, including our founder, Andre Simon, meeting Queen Camilla at the Big Lunch hosted by the Eden Project and Canary Wharf Group. A reminder that grassroots community work matters and is being recognised.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into the new year, we’re excited about what’s coming next.

In 2026, we plan to:

  • Introduce new girls-only classes

  • Expand boxing classes

  • Deliver basic self-defence workshops

  • Introduce a SEN-focused provision

  • Share more stories through blogs, videos and community content

Everything we build next will continue to centre young people, families and the wider community.

Thank You

To every young person, parent, adult member, coach, partner and supporter, thank you for being part of this journey.

Radojunkie is not just about martial arts. It’s about growth, belonging and giving people the tools to move through life with confidence.

We can’t wait to continue building together.
