Life at Radojunkie

We built Radojunkie because sport is the hook, and youth development is the purpose. Everyone who coaches, volunteers or works alongside us is here for the second part as much as the first.

How We Work

Our team culture is based on the following values.

LOVE

We approach everything we do wholeheartedly.

LEGACY

Making a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

DISCIPLINE

We model the behaviour we expect to see.

EMPOWERMENT

Uplifting each other through mutual support.

INCLUSIVENESS

A welcoming environment that champions diversity.

What Coaching Here Looks Like

Our coaches are youth workers first, martial arts instructors second. That means learning names in the first session, noticing when someone's had a bad week, and being a consistent, trusted adult in a young person's life — not just for a term, but for years.

We're proud to create a positive, safe environment for our members and our team alike. We invest in our coaches' development — funding certifications and CPD, creating leadership opportunities, and giving you experience working with all kinds of learners. Just as our members grow through training, we support and expect our coaches to grow too. What unites us is a genuine passion for the mission — bring that and embody our values, then we'll support you with the rest.

You'll be part of a small, close team rather than one voice among many. Every coach has real input into how sessions run, and every achievement — a member's first sparring session, a grading passed, a young person who finally speaks up in the group — is something the whole team celebrates together.

Words from the Team

Molly, Coach

“Coaching at Radojunkie as a fighter has been super flexible. I get the freedom to coach my own style and step back when I am in a fight camp. Giving others the chance to start as young as I did is everything"

Ryan, Coach

"Working at Radojunkie has developed me as a Coach. I now feel more confident with coaching young people. It's given me a huge sense of purpose to teach my passion"

Harjeet, Volunteer

“Volunteering with Radojunkie has added meaning to my life and connected me with the local community. I value being part of this organisation and using my skills to help others.”
