A fight we would have loved to had seen
It was announced on January 20th by Floyd Mayweather that he would be going up against the UK's Muay Thai legend Liam Harrison in an exhibition boxing bout. The fight was scheduled for February 25th, at London's O2 Arena.
It was later confirmed by Liam Harrison that the fight would not be going ahead for 2 reasons.
His knee injury will not allow him to participate. Although he upped his training and hitting pads with his team, his knee simply would not allow him to spar let alone take part in a competitive boxing bout at this time.
Harrison is still in an exclusive contract with ONE Championship.
Despite the exhibition not going ahead, this is definitely one that the Muay Thai fight fans would have loved to see. Not only would Harrison have the support of his UK fans, but the world of Muay Thai would also be behind him.
